Jetty Train Update

The Jetty Train is currently not in service. The train will resume in the near future once repairs to the Jetty have been completed.

Visitors to the Busselton Jetty Underwater Observatory need to be aware of the Jetty walk required, as the UWO is located at the end of the Jetty.

Thanks for your understanding.

Busselton Jetty Underwater Observatory welcomed their 300,000th Visitor on Friday The 28 March 2008!

Lesley Finnie, visiting Australia from the United Kingdom, was the lucky 300,000th guest.  Lesley purchased tickets for herself and her young daughter Chloe who like all children was completely awestruck by the stunning colourful fish and magical marine environment.

Excitement filled the Observatory and the crowd erupted with applause when tour guide Ben Fernley announced the event. Lesley was absolutely thrilled when presented with a lovely painting of the Busselton Jetty to mark the special occasion.

Easter Saturday was the busiest day of the season so far in terms of visitor numbers to the Busselton Jetty and Underwater Observatory.  And heading into Autumn the fish are turning the tables with an even greater number of fish species turning up to look through the windows at the people!

Autumn sees an increase in the strength of the Leeuwin Current which brings a wondrous variety of fish species to Geographe Bay offering spectacular fish viewing over the upcoming school holidays and remainder of the season.

The Busselton Underwater Observatory is looking forward to welcoming the next 300,000 Visitors in coming years along with many more amazing marine species!
