Congratulations to the Busselton Jetty for becoming a finalist in the WA Environmental Awards 2008 under the category of Education and Communication! The Jetty was one of five finalists out of 107 submissions from organisations around the state, showing just how many pro-active businesses are out there dedicating ongoing time and energy to innovative environmental projects.
‘The Busselton Jetty Underwater Observatory and Marine Education Program' is a culmination of the last 5 years worth of research since the inception of the Observatory and the new Busselton Jetty Website Research project. Marine Research data has been collected and delivered to the viewing public and is now available on their new website http://www.busseltonjetty.com.au for all people to learn more about the fragile yet abundant marine ecosystem of Geographe Bay and the life that lives beneath the Jetty.
