Interpretive Centre Collection
One of the primary functions of the Busselton Jetty Interpretive Centre Museum is to interpret the historical, cultural and environmental significance of the Jetty to tourist visitors and the local community, in an interesting and unique way.

The collection of pictorial images, historical footage, and artifacts, showcased at the Interpretive Centre Museum is extensive, diverse, educational, interactive and suitable for all ages to enjoy.

The Busselton Jetty "Old Crane" is an excellent example of this. It was manufactured and mounted onto the Jetty in 1885 at a time when the States were moving towards Federation. Today the fully reconstructed and restored antique crane demonstrates just how much Australia has achieved since the turn of the century.

At the far end of the Busselton Jetty a "Marine Cam" has been submerged below the surface to film the spectacular underwater world. This project, which is an Australian first, is sponsored by the Water Corporation. Visitors to the Busselton Jetty Interpretive Centre Museum can watch live footage of this marine eco-system via a computer screen.
Visitors to the Museum can discover a collection of photographs which document the history of the Jetty as well as the spectacularly bright and colourful marine environment below. Visitors will also find an extensive range of old-world tools, which serve as a distinctive reminder of the significant role the Busselton Jetty played within the local economy as a working port.
